Since 2019, the Society has been invited to co-host the captioned event together with Guangdong Society of Foreign Languages, Guangdong Provincial Foreign Literature Association, and School of International Studies, Sun Yat-sen University. The event comprises a translation research paper competition, a translation competition, an English writing competition and translation lectures open to undergraduate and research students of the Greater Bay Area.

Representing the Society on adjudication of the translation research paper competition were:

(2021 May 14-17) Dr. Li Dechao, Dr. Liu Kanglong; Dr. Li Dechao was also invited to give a keynote speech on the topic “再論翻譯概念及其本質” (Reconceptualizing Translation from Eastern Perspectives).
