The HKTS is pleased to report the success of our 2023 Annual General Meeting of, F. C. Lo Scholarships Presentation Ceremony and Luncheon Talk held at Hong Kong Baptist University on 16th September 2023.

The event commenced with the AGM, providing members an opportunity to review the Society's progress and future plans. Following this,  eight outstanding translation students from eight Hong Kong universities were awarded the F. C. Lo Scholarships,  a tradition upheld by Mr. Lo through our Society aiming to promote translation as a discipline in tertiary institutions.

After a delightful lunch, our invited speakers, Ms. Cat H.-M. FUNG and Mr. Herman WONG Hin Man, offered a talk titled "Navigating Interpreting through the Lens of Sign Language Interpreters 手語譯者的傳譯之路". Their insightful discourse enriched our understanding of the current situation and challenges in sign language interpretation in Hong Kong.

We wrapped up the day with a vibrant networking session, which provided an excellent opportunity to build connections, reflect on our experiences, and plan for the future.
